The community for schools in Europe
eTwinning strengthens cooperation between European schools using simple means. On the online platform, teachers from all levels of education can find partner classes with which to undertake projects or exchanges in virtual classrooms. eTwinning is suited to all school types (including special schools) and subjects as well as to all age groups. It is also possible to set up or support a Comenius partnership with eTwinning.
The platform offers teachers options for professional development when it comes to using information and communication technologies (ICT) in the classroom: online courses, ideas exchange forums and a broad selection of eTwinning events. eTwinning is run by European Schoolnet on behalf of the European Commission and is financed within the scope of the Comenius programme.
eTwinning is coordinated at the European level by the Central Support Service (CSS) in Brussels. Each participating country also has a National Support Service (NSS) which is on hand to answer queries from eTwinning teachers at any time.
